2023 Senior Night Tour - Lake Norman HS (NC)
2023 Senior Night Tour
Lake Norman High School (NC)
Senior night is an opportunity to highlight the graduating class by celebrating them and their families in front of the fans, faculty and alumni. Lake Norman HS had a lot to celebrate with their 1 Senior on the squad, she has had a tremendous impact on the program - Kirsten Lewis-Williams has been instrumental in turning this program into a NCHSAA 4A State Championship contender the last 2 years. Kirsten is a 4 year starter and All time leading scorer in the program's history. The impact can be felt by watching the record from before Kirsten played a game at Lake Norman to where they are today
2018 - 2019: 11 - 15 Record (Before Kirsten came to Lake Norman)
2019 - 2020: 16 - 10 Record (Kirsten Freshman Year)
2020 - 2021: 10 - 2 Record ( Kirsten Sophomore year - Covid shortened Season)
2021 - 2022: 24 - 4 Record (Kirsten Junior Year 12 - 0 Conference Champions)
2022 - 2023: 22 – 0 Record (Kirsten Senior Year 11 - 0 Conference Champions entering game)
The school did an outstanding job of honoring Kirsten and her family before the game and then they had to play South Iredell High School who entered the game with a record of 5 - 16 so far this season. Lake Norman came out on fire and jumped out to a 23 - 9 lead following the 1st quarter of play led by Sophomore Wing - Samantha Shehan with 8 points including 2 - 3 Ptrs, Freshman Kelsey Rhyne also added 2 - 3 Ptrs for 6 points in the period as well. The 2nd quarter was an opportunity for Kirsten to go to work, all of her teammates were feeding her and she finished with 15 points in the 2nd period and had 18 points at halftime with Lake Norman taking a commanding lead at 54 - 19. This night was for Kirsten and she continued to attack and look for her shots in the 2nd half, she would finish the game with 31 points including a 3 Ptr on her final shot at home in a regular season game. Lake Norman would go on to win the Senior Night game by a score of 79 - 28 over South Iredell, next up is Mooresville HS and then the GM4 Conference tournament at home before they start the NCHSAA 4A State Playoffs, I hope that this magical season continues for as long as it can for this Lake Norman team and their leader Kirsten Lewis-Williams.
Through 24 games so far this season Kirsten Lewis-Williams is averaging:
