Class of 2024 Scoring leaders


April 9-10, 2022 Carolina girls hoops report held the spring kickoff tournament in Mooresville, NC - 18 teams competed in the 17U to 14U age groups. I will be focusing on the class of 2024 Top Scorers from this weekend's play.


  • 1. - 22.6 PPG - 3 Games Played - Genesis Young - NC Gems

  • 2. - 16.0 PPG - 4 Games Played - Bailee Goodlett - CLT Monarchs

  • 3. - 16.3 PPG - 3 Games Played - Boston Bates - EA Lady Stars

  • 4. - 14.5 PPG - 2 Games Played - Lili Booker - EA Lady Stars 

  • 5. - 14.0 PPG - 4 Games Played - Jasmine Utley - Carolina All Stars

  • 6. - 11.5 PPG - 4 Games Played - Chelsea Rivera - Team United 

  • 7. - 11.3 PPG - 3 Games Played - Jordan Minz - EA Lady Stars


Genesis Young - 6’0” - Forward - NC Gems 16U (NC) - Played extremely well as an interior scorer, consistent play on both sides of the court, high motor and soft hands. Genesis was able to convert at a high rate close to the basket, on rebounds and interior touches.


Bailee Goodlett - 5’6” - Guard - CLT Monarchs 17U (NC) - Strong lead guard that is able to create offense from her defense throughout the game, ability to get to the rim and has nice form on her jump shot. High motor and strong skill set make her a must see for college coaches this week.


Boston Bates - 5’8” - Guard - EA Lady Stars 16U (NC) - Combo guard that can score it at all 3 levels, strong frame and ability to get to basket and finish in traffic. High level player that knows how to get buckets, skilled passer and handle to go with high IQ. 


Lili Booker - 5’7” - Guard - EA Lady Stars 17U (NC) - Outstanding 2 way guard that can really defend on the perimeter, combo guard that can play on or off the ball, loves to play up-tempo game and run. High IQ Player that is an outstanding distributor of the ball, really fun to watch.


Jasmine Utley - 5’4” - Guard - Carolina All Stars 16U (NC) - High motor guard that can defend and create opportunities from her hard nosed play, ability to finish in traffic. Her energy feeds on to other players and that made for a very strong weekend.


Chelsea Rivera - 5’6” - Guard - Team United 16U (NC) - Outstanding combo guard that can really lock up on defense, she loves to get out and run the court and can finish in traffic. Strong shot form and ability to stretch the floor, high IQ.


Jordan Minz - 5’4” - Guard - EA Lady Stars 16U (SC) - Skilled lead guard that can use her strong handle and playmaking ability to control the flow of a game, she can score in bunches. High level vision and passing ability that sometimes catches teammates off guard.
